Well, we have been a bit busy lately. Not only with projects, but personal life as well.
During this absence we have decided on a new member ranking system! :) This system will classify members by their contribution to Trixel projects.
Here are the current ranking plans:
The second rank is optional. If you contribute to LBP you will receive the Creator badge, and if you contribute to other things, such as the PC, you will be ranked as a Developer. Your Creator and/or Developer badge will always be publicly displayed, even if you rank up to honored or legendary. Same goes for the Staff rank.
You can view your rank via your profile on the staff section of the site.
Here's an example of the badge. :)
The Nexus was entirely reschemed on Tuesday.
We have changed the colors to correspond with our new Trixel Studios' colors... Orange and Purple.
When turned on the power light is now orange instead of purple.
Also, the blue plastic strip is now orange to match the rest of the console. This gives it a minimalistic look.
The indicator blinkers are no longer purple and blue, instead it is now yellow for both lights.
We have also added a "Launch Game" option and icon, so you can go into the Space Pod and play level series and mini games.
The last thing we have changed is the boot sound. It's now a simple beep alert, instead of a long multiple pitched beep sound.
This is all that we have changed currently. Most of our time is wrapped up in The Lost Story community level pack. :D
Have a great day!
Here's our newest addition to the LBP community!
LittleBigPlanet: The Lost Story
Community Level Pack
A fun, unofficial level kit!
The level pack will take you on another journey throughout Craftworld in an effort to stop the evil Collectinator!
The Collectinator is an evil creation created by someone that is trying (once again) to stop the fun and joy in LittleBigPlanet.
Traverse all new themes, including:
Not including two part levels, tutorials, the introduction and cutscenes!
Celebrate the fourth by downloading our exclusive present!
Starts at Midnight on July 4th - Ends at Midnight on July 5th
The UV-core is a really elaborate machine.
It has a simple to use operating system that works flawlessly.
It's main screen is very minimalist, and at Trixel, we love minimalism.
Unlike some consoles, it literally emits an actual playing field! Depending on which cartridge you insert, obviously.
The visuals on the main screen (icons) aren't very stunning. (Sorry!)
The actual UI on the main screen only appears on the one you select, when I would prefer it to show all icons, and highlight the one you were selecting.
That's my opinion, but other than that it's a great console! It's huge, by the way. :D
It's developed by "TheSkyeGuy", who we found through T-Games.
We plan on writing a review for the Add-on's at a later date.
Trixel Studios now requires "peer review"
In order to publish something, or have an idea taken into consideration, you must 1.) be in the Trixel Studios family, and 2.) publish it to peer review.
Peer Review is a new program that is slowly rolling out. You access the website via a browser and navigate to the special hidden link given to the staff (also available in the staff hub) and you will fill out what it is you want to be reviewed, how long it will be available, and then you fill in your username or real name and you can also attach a picture.
This is to make sure that the thing you are submitting is something you're serious about, and something you will continuously check on, and it's main purpose is to see if everyone else is on board with the idea.
Members can vote on the idea by replying to the announcement, blog post, or poll. We are also debating if we should just vote in chat rooms two weekends out of the month, or send an email and wait for replies. This is a main feature coming to the staff hub, so don't miss it!
